The LBMS VMA consists of five choirs of student performers in grades 6-8. The choirs are ILLUMINATIONS, 6th grade Mixed Choir, LUMINESCENCE, 7th & 8th Intermediate Mixed Choir, SPOTLIGHT, 7th & 8th grade Advanced Treble Choir, and STARLIGHT, 7th & 8th grade Advanced Mixed Choir.

The focus of the vocal music program is on music theory, sight-reading and performance. Students perform various styles of music including folk, classical, jazz, pop, and Broadway, with an emphasis on A Cappella & Show Choir performance. They travel to various venues throughout Southern California to compete against other middle schools.
